Hinto
Hinto is the native religion of Dura. It is a collection of local beliefs that, over time, developed into an organized religion.
The main beliefs in Hinto are the belief in reincarnation, a system of karma called Varna, and the belief in magic.
Hinto Deities
Hinto has 5 main deities who rule over the five main categories of the universe. They are: Diva, Morde, Miurta, Audi, and Morgan. They are described below.
Diva : Diva (DEE-vah) is the goddess of love and relationships. She has power over such things as marraige, friendships, and family relations. She is the wife of Morde and the mother of Morgan.
Morde : Morde (MORE-day) is the god of death and the afterlife. He is generally viewed as being benevolent, and most Hintoists view death as a new beggining. He is the husband of Diva, father of Morgan, and the brother of Miurta.
Miurta : Miurta ( MEE-uhr-tah) is the goddess of fate. She decides such things as wealth, family relations(Diva just has the power to make family members closer to each other), and the rest of the things in a persons life. Miurta gets into many conflicts with Diva and Morde when, say, Diva tries to make one person fall in love with another person,and Miurta had planned for that person to be with someone else. And if Morde makes someone die before Miurta planned. Most times however, Diva and Morde let Miurta have her way because she is very powerful.She is the sister of Morde and the wife of Audi.
Audi : Audi (AWE-dee) is the god of time. He makes sure time runs smoothly and has no glitches. He has the power, however, to freeze time, slow it down, or speed it up. He is the husband of Miurta.
Morgan : The youngest deity in the group, Morgan (MORE-gan) is the goddess of magic. She has many children, of whom have a small bit of her magic. They are the mages of Dura. Dura is married to the Sun Spirit, Ako Naka, but despite being madly in love with Ako Naka, she has affairs with many other nature spirits and mortals, hence the reason for having so many children. She is also the daughter of Diva and Morde.
Reincarnation
One of Hinto's main beliefs is Reincarnation. Hintoists believe people can be reincarnated into anything thing (animal, plant, person, or inanimate objects) and that if you are good during that lifetime you go higher on the scale of evolution next time. Higher than human is nature spirit and higher than that is when you reach heaven, or Arvada, and become a minor god.
Varna
Varna is a system of Karma used by the Hintoists. It is a system of reward and punishment for your deeds in life. If you do a good deed, then good comes back to you 10 times as strong. Exactly the same for a bad deed. The reason for 10 times? 10 is the luckiest number in Hinto.
Magic
Every Hintoist believes in magic. To be able to perform magic means you are a child of Morgan. Morgan has had many children with humans and nature spirits alike, and all have possessed powerful magical potential. Every person has some magical ability, but those who are related to Morgan are said to be the most powerful.
Magic and everything else in the world is fueled by love, the lifeblood of the universe. It is for this reason that Diva is Morgan's mother, because love had to exist before magic. The more love a person has, the stronger that persons magic is.
Spirits
Spirits are the the minor gods and goddesses. They rule over certain things such as trade, wealth, and things in nature. Most spirits assist the 5 main Gods.They are listed below: M=Male FM=Female

Orian - the spirit of kings (upholds the divinity of Royalty) M

Casanaea - the spirit of rivers, lakes, and oceans FM

Jeremy - the spirit of healing M
Diao - the spirit of air M
Firion - the spirit of fire, lightning, and volcanoes M
Earda - the spirit of earth (rocks, mountains, and landforms) FM
Vivian - the spirit of plants FM
Gargantua - the spirit of evolution FM
Nathanii - the spirit of immortality (can grant immortality to mortals, can take it from immortals) M
Zorn - the spirit of war and the warrior (contrary to popular belief, Zorn is not evil, in fact he is one of the noblest and honourable of the spirits, not to mention one of the oldest)
